This homeowner contracted with AV Prestige for a top-of-the-line cinema experience that could be shared with the entire family in their home in Puebla, Mexico.
This customer, whose family includes a wife and two small children, wanted an easily operable home theater of unparalleled quality. His expectations were simple: “The best possible home cinema in the whole country.”
The homeowner needed all the devices to be easily operable – soon the whole family will be enjoying the room independently. AV Prestige also had to ensure the 3-D sound system would not be compromised by the architectural confines of the room or the overhead lighting.
By working closely with the architect and interior designer, AV Prestige was able to properly install and calibrate the Dolby Atmos system, which includes Proaudio Technologies speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers and an Integra preamplifier for the 8.5.4 speaker array providing an immersive experience.
A Runco projector is fed by AppleTV, Roku and an Oppo BluRay player. The image is projected via an anamorphic lens (which can produce very wide images) onto a Stewart Filmscreen which has an aspect ratio of 2.35:1, a size large enough to accommodate Cinemascope films. Like the audio signal, the video display was carefully calibrated to deliver the best possible experience, bringing the broadest possible spectrum of lights and darks to the screen for this room.
Six dimmable circuits with a variety of “scenes” mirror the user’s mood or viewing tastes.
A Crestron system allows the user to control the entire room from an iPad or an iPhone. Features include one-button “power-down” efficiency.
The room’s seating has D-Box technology, which translates motion synced with the Oppo player for added punch to the film viewing experience – the homeowner can actually “feel the movie.” The room’s also outfitted with its own Wi-Fi system.
