Respected Economist to Deliver Keynote Address at
CEDIA EXPO 2008
Todd Buchholz to Discuss Recent Economic Turbulence and its
Possible Affect on CEDIA Member Business
Indianapolis (July 28, 2008) — With inflation on the rise and the price of gas, goods and services ever-increasing, consumers and business owners alike are confronted with unprecedented financial pressures to stay on top. However, CEDIA members have an opportunity to gain useful insights and tips that will guide them during these challenging economic times. Todd Buchholz, a well-regarded economist and former Harvard economics professor, will discuss the economic future of businesses during his keynote address during the member breakfast at CEDIA EXPO 2008. The breakfast is slated to take place on Friday, Sept. 5 from 8:00 to 10:15 a.m.
The former senior economic adviser under President George W. Bush, Buchholz is currently managing director of a $15 billion Tiger Hedge Fund. He is co-founder of Enso Capital and managing director of two Oceans funds and a real estate fund. Buchholz was awarded the Allyn Young Teaching Prize and was recognized as one of the “21 Top Speakers for the Twentieth Century” by Successful Meetings magazine.
Buchholz has delivered keynote speeches for several business venues, including Citibank, IBM, Merrill Lynch, Microsoft, Toyota and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, to name a few.Todd understands the intricacies of business and what it takes to run one successfully – especially during uncertain economic times,” said Utz Baldwin, CEDIA executive committee president. “We strongly believe that the insights and information he will share with members will provide the necessary tools they need to enhance their business.”
A prolific writer, he is a best-selling author and contributing writer to Business Week, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Worth magazine. Additionally, Buchholz is best known for his expertise and insight into the complexities of economics and its direct affect on inflation and the stock market. He shares insights on National Public Radio (NPR) programs in the areas of economics, finance and business strategy. He has appeared on ABC News, PBS, CBS and has hosted a special on CNBC.
