Electronics Design Group was approached by a customer who wanted to replicate the family’s “blue theater” they’d installed in another home in a different state.
Take an unused room that had been designated as a space for a cinema a few years before and duplicate the experience they’d had in a previous home.
The room had been designed to house products that no longer existed when Electronics Design Group got the job. As a result, speaker cavities and the like presented construction obstacles in this already-soundproofed space.
Audio and video
Totem speakers fit the bill, and the room’s fabric walls from Acoustic Finishes hid some of those components. The Sony 4K projector also had to work within a pre-determined space. Carefully choosing the right products and calibrating the picture and sound for the room were critical parts of this installation’s success. The front-projection screen has a width of 125 inches.
EDG relied on Crestron products to handle all of this award-winning room’s functionality. A 2.8-inch wireless touchpanel controls the theater.
