Sensory International was invited on board the Motor Yacht Odessa II to specify and install a luxurious home automation solution. The 74m 'mega yacht' can accommodate 12 guests in all-embracing luxury aboard the vessel, custom built by Nobiskrug Ship Yard in Germany.

The client wanted to make an impression on his guests with comprehensive on-board entertainment facilities. This included the latest design and specification of all AV, including marine TVRO satellite, an all-weather home cinema, lighting, security, VSAT and GSM communication systems, internal intercom, and a data network.
The client challenged Sensory International to deliver a complete automation system to enhance the exquisite internal and external styling.
Sensory accomplished a complicated brief to an exceptionally high standard, all within a tight deadline, thanks to the clever idea of using an off-site set-up. The sound and visual quality of the entertainment system is outstanding, and the security provides peace of mind while the automation on the yacht augments the occupants' comfort and enjoyment.
Additional Design Elements
Cinema System: For an external, all-weather permanent cinema, a high-performance projector was selected for use with a Screen Research ClearPix3 motorised in-ceiling screen. The projector is housed within a special air-conditioned waterproof enclosure to keep the equipment cool during use. Sound is produced through in-wall Sonance weatherproof speakers.
Security: Sensory International's security division Sensory Secure delivered an extensive internal and external system comprising a CCTV system featuring marine-grade cameras and a Pelco Endura video analytical system. Along with the video analytics, deck sensors, door contacts, and panic alarms were installed for intruder detection and integrated into the CCTV system.
Network and Control: A Ruckus wireless network with 20 access points provides excellent connectivity throughout the boat. All disparate systems have been integrated through an AMX NetLinx Controller, enabling all the technology to be operated through a single handheld device.
