Quality Home Technology Continuing Education for
Chapters and Professionals
Through the CEDIA Outreach Instructor (COI) program, CEDIA members deliver home technology education on a regional/local basis. In addition to company training, this program also allows association chapters the ability to bring education directly to their members at no cost to the chapter.
Currently, the CEDIA Outreach Instructor program provides several courses approved for continuing education units by many industry partner associations. CEDIA Outreach Instructors (COIs) are CEDIA members who have attended and passed the "Train the Trainer" course. Successful completion of this requirement enables participants to deliver CEDIA-developed industry partner education.
The CEDIA Outreach Instructor program gives CEDIA members the tools they need to deliver quality presentations and enables them to present relevant and timely education to industry partners within their geographic regions. Since the program's inception in 2006, it has grown to include hundreds of COIs throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. CEDIA's COI program is referred to CPD in the EMEA region.
In order to maintain this CEDIA designation, COIs are required to follow strict guidelines that include meeting deadlines for registering upcoming classes, reporting participant attendance, and maintaining minimum evaluation ratings.
